Robert Glück, the renowned poet-novelist describes his decade long relationship as lovers with Aulerich-Sugai in the 1970s and later as friends when he became ill with AIDS in 1987. The book has been critically acclaimed for its deeply personal exploration of mourning and memory.  Glück’s lyrical style and evocative imagery offer insights into the depths of their relationship, and a reflection on love, loss and what remains unknown.
