Terri Cohn, 2024

Announcement: Daniel Ostrow, the custodian of the Ed Aulerich-Sugai Collection & Archive is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Terri Cohn Studio.

November 24, 2024

Terri Cohn, MA, is a curator, writer, art historian and fine art appraiser who works with artists at all career stages and advises artist’s estates. Her consulting practice Terri Cohn Studio provides research, writing, appraisal, and curatorial services. She has been engaged in researching Ed’s artwork since 2018, initially in her role as a collaborator and consultant with Alla Efimova, and her arts management business Kunstworks. Terri has appraised more than 60 pieces Aulerich-Sugai’s estate gifted to several fine art museums across the country, as well as for four Bay Area exhibitions of the artist’s work over the past six years. Through our new partnership we will continue to explore opportunities for exhibitions, as well as gallery representation and sales.  Cohn has a long presence in the Bay Area as a writer, curator, art historian, fine art consultant.  Her research is focused on discovering and preserving the histories, contributions, and archives of women and under-recognized artists.  She served on the faculty of the San Francisco Art Institute and is an advisor to living artists as well as to artists’ estates, most recently the estate of Sonya Rapoport.
